Teaching Styles at Route 1

At Route 1 we totally understand that as individuals we all have strengths and weaknesses. With this in mind each intensive driving course will contain every type of learning style to help maximise learning potential. As your weekly course develops you'll be helped with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning techniques in each module of your intensive driving programme. Using these techniques will help to speed up the learning process and guide you through the four key stages of driving skill acquirement:

All this will be achieved in a coordinated safe learning environment and will lead to you not only being successful at the end of your intensive course, but also being a safe driver for the rest of your driving life. Weekly Lessons

Taking weekly lessons is the more traditional way of learning to drive.

Each lesson will we be structured to the individual allowing the student to acquire all the key skills in their own time. All our lessons are conducted by patient highly qualified DSA approved driving instructors and operate a pick up service.

Our professionally qualified office staff will book your theory and practical driving test as well as offering you full support whilst you are learning to drive .

Please note: We can also book blocks of lessons in units of 10, 20 or 30 - absolutely ideal for birthday or Christmas presents!!! Call for best price.


Pass Plus

Each Pass Plus Course covers six modules:

Town Driving

Rural Driving

Dual Carriageway Driving

Motorway Driving

Night Driving

All-weather Driving

These modules will increase your experience and the quality of your driving skills.

At the end of the course you will be awarded a certificate that can be used to greatly reduce the price of your car insurance.

The course can be either an intensive course covered in one day or spread over a period of time.

The course has no set length but must be at least 6 hours long.
